Counseling and Psychotherapy in Fort Collins

While some of my clients want help with a specific problem, crisis, or transition—others want to explore long-standing patterns that have held them back from living with joy, fulfillment, and authenticity.

Are you hesitant about therapy or counseling?

If you’ve never worked with a therapist before you may be wondering a few things such as:

How does therapy work?
Why should you work with me instead of another therapist or counselor?
Once you start therapy, how long will it last?

Great questions!

Every therapist takes a different approach based on their training, skills, interests, and experience. My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and holistic. Here’s what I mean:

I’ll collaborate with you…
Your sessions will feel relaxed and conversational. You will gradually feel more grounded as you enjoy a calm, nonjudgemental space to talk through what’s troubling you.

I’ll help you find new solutions…
In addition to helping you understand how you developed into the person you are today (because that awareness will guide us to the right resolutions for your unique struggles), I’ll help you tune into life goals that feel exciting and deeply aligned with your truest self. We’ll work together (and I’ll share valuable insights and techniques) to help you arrive at realistic solutions to the challenges and barriers holding you back.

I’ll match the right therapeutic approach with your unique needs…
The work I do with clients is personalized meaning I will assess, shift, and bring forth the methods and techniques that would be most immediately beneficial to you. For almost three decades I’ve been a psychotherapist on the forefront of mental health practices that include: CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Relational Theory, and Solution Focused Therapy. I practice Integrative Psychotherapy which is a wellness and lifestyle focused therapy. The work we do together will be holistic—I believe all aspects of your life contribute to your sense of well-being. This includes your relationships, social connections, dreams, hopes, and your physical health.

Clients find me very easy to talk to and because of my extensive experience over the past 30 years, they appreciate my ability to identify key issues quickly—because this awareness streamlines your journey toward your best life.
